Special Pressure Vessel Applications

Since 1964 EPSI has been manufacturing high-pressure vessels for numerous conventional isostatic applications, but occasionally there are special pressure vessel applications required for high-pressure vessels. EPSI has been successful with a special application known as “Hot Isostatic Press In a Chamber” (HIPIC). This particular special application isolates the load material in an isolated chamber eliminating potential leakage into the HIP system.

Other special pressure vessel applications have been high-pressure chemical reactors, high-pressure mixers, and supercritical extraction systems. The USA and Belgian activities were renamed to Engineered Pressure Systems Incorporated and Engineered Pressure Systems International respectively. These names are intended to reflect present day skills and experience within the group, and the acronym EPSI serves for either unit representing our ability to apply the overall talents for special pressure vessel applications worldwide.

		Forged Vessel for Special Pressure Vessel Applications Other R&D or industrial processes require specially designed high-pressure vessels and EPSI has supplied a variety of these such as: Wind tunnel vessels Polyethylene reactors Gas booster simulators Chemical reactors Fluid cell press vessels Stainless specialty steel vessels

		Supercritical Fluid Extraction Units Supercritical CO₂ units for various applications such as: Debinding of injection molded parts (ceramic or metallic) Cleaning of electronic & other devices

		Wire-Wound Vessels and Yoke Frames Very large diameters, combined with high-pressures and cycle life, sometimes require a prestressed wire-wound design. EPSI has supplied several such installation units, either for its own CIP's or HIP's or for other contractors or machine builders

		Hot Isostatic Press Isolation Chamber Hot Isostatic Press that has a pressure equalization isolation chamber, which can contain bulk material.
